SDFPL Cup Final and Presentations Confirmed

The SDFPL is pleased to announce that Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium will once again be the venue for our Challenge Cup Final. The match will kick off at 1pm on Saturday 12th May. Following the game, the League's trophy presentations will be made for the 2017/18 season.

This year will see a new name engraved onto the Challenge Cup Trophy, with Sheffield Wanderers playing HSBC FC in an all first division final. Sheffield Wanderers made it through to the final for the first time with a comfortable 4-1 victory over reigning champions Boundary Academy. Wanderers have previously appeared in the semi finals in 2002, 2005, 2007 and most recently in 2016, but finally made the step into the final for the first time this year.

HSBC FC were also comfortable winners in their semi final, beating division 2 hopefuls AC Southside 4-0 in the last round. This is the second time HSBC have made it to the cup final, after finishing runners up to Ranmoor in 2016, losing a close game 3-2. HSBC have been semi finalists on 4 previous occasions.
