Bohemians began as an 11-a-side mens team in 2006 managed by Richard Cobb. 'Cobby' as he is affectionately known spent a number of years prior to returning home to Sheffield, living in Prague, Czech Republic, where he began to follow and support Bohemians 1905. New Bohemians play in a green and white kit, have a kangaroo mascot and football tour to Prague when possible as tribute to the original Bohemians.
The club has 4 mens teams, with the Saturday team playing in the Windsor County Senior League, and the Saturday mornings in the Sheffield fair play league.
The Sunday 1st team play in the Sunday Imperial League, along with the Sunday Reserve Side.
The New Bohemians Ladies play in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Womens League, and the Junior teams in the Rosehill Press Sheffield and District Junior League.
The Saturday mornings team has been running for 5 years as a Saturday afternoon reserves side and has been under the stewardship of Tom McCready for 4 years. Having previously had success as a team the decision was made to join the Sheffield fair play league to diversify the times at which teams were playing and explore a new venture in a fast growing league in Sheffield. New Bohemians hope this move will lead to a healthy future for the team and many years of enjoyment for the players and staff at the club.
